Embracing ambiguity, critical thinking, and experimental creativity, L4C supports students and researchers grappling with wicked challenges by offering concepts and materials, models and methods from Cybernetics and Systems. (Our homepage with navigation to L4C’s components is here — and a **summary guide with further links is here.)**

L4C is grounded in the transdisciplinary tradition of Cybernetics. L4C also facilitates collaboration that is trans-geographical (diverse and inclusive) and transgenerational. L4C builds on recent experiments in "colloquies" (serious conversations) that cross all these boundaries with techniques for bridging differences in background and discipline, education and learning style, as well as generational wordview. L4C adopts a method called Colloquies for Transgenerational Collaboration (CTC) whereby in-world practitioners are matched to student-scholars based on the student's worldview and commitment to specific "wicked challenges."

The unique organizing principle of CTC is to proceed from the starting points, worldview, and values of the student-scholar. From there, in-world practitioners bring the explanatory value of their experiences, concepts, models, and case studies to the collaboration, but not to lead.
